DSM 7.2 (64570) has been verified as effective. If activation fails in the second step, please try the following: 1. Try multiple times 2. Clear cookies 3. Change browsers.
First, enable the admin account. If you haven't changed the password, change it here. You don't actually need to use the admin account, just make sure you have administrator privileges. No need to activate admin.
Copy your serial number for later use (important, do not wait until step 3 to log in again to find the serial number, as it will cause activation failure).
Assuming you haven't changed the port number, open the following link in your browser:
https://yourSynologyInternalIP:5001/webapi/auth.cgi?api=SYNO.API.Auth&version=3&method=login&account=admin&passwd=admin'spassword&format=cookie
If did and sid display a string of characters, and success is true, then the activation is successful.

If activated and success return true, then the activation is successful. -
